Lakeview

This cache had a beautiful lake view and was hidden amongst the sage brush.

Silly Spyder Cacher found this one.

Looking through the items in the cache.

The last two still looking through and examining certain items to trade.

Logging her cache

Welcome to Manson

This one had a pretty view of the lake.  The community was named for Manson F. Backus, president of the Lake Chelan Land Company.

Where it all Began

This cache was on the property at The Chelan Winery.  Apparently this building was originally an "apple packing shed" and according to the cacher who placed this cache was "where it all began" here in Chelan.

This was a great place to hide the cache.

Silly Spyder Cacher found this one.  This is her first Geocoin.  For a close up look at it you can go to Zoping/Geocaching

Wing Attack Plan

This cache was across the way from "This Old House"

The pine needles were so thick in some areas that I sunk a little bit.  What a huge tree.

This Old House

This was near this cache that we found.  We didn't notice any signs or anything explaining it.

What a fun place to put a cache... there was some rustling in the bushes which caused me to wonder what kind of critters could be lurking about.  Thankfully, they were just quail.

Spyder Cacher Dude was happy that he found the cache.

Munsoned in Mason

This cache took a little bit of a hike to get to.

What a great little adventure.

You can see our minivan way down there.

Jr. Spyder Cacher found this one.

What a view!

Heading down a little different path.

Wapato Lake

On our way to our next cache we saw these cute little horses and just had to stop and say hello.

Searching for the cache.

Still searching...

A Day in the Park

Manson is a little town not far from Chelan, and at this time of year was pretty sleepy.  You can tell that during the summer it must be hopping with boats and summer activities.  Thankfully we Geocache which gave us something to do and helped us see areas we would not have seen otherwise.

This was a park that you walk down many stairs to.  A great outlet for the kids.

Then down just a few more stairs is a beach area.

Looking for the cache.

Something we don't see in the Puget Sound area would be tumbleweeds.

With the wind whipping it turned out to be great entertainment for the kids.

I suppose, growing up in Nevada, I took these rolling bushes for granted.  It was pretty funny to realize how much fun they were for the kids.

Water Tower

This cache took us up to see a beautiful view in an area we would have never gone on our own.

We made a friend at this cache.  You never know what to expect when you see a stranger dog, but this one was all into playing.  He would have let the kids throw the stick forever.
